Claude 3.5 Sonnet
Anthropic has launched Claude 3.5 Sonnet, its latest AI model, claiming it outperforms OpenAI’s GPT-4o and Google’s Gemini in various tasks.
The model, available on the web and iOS, excels in writing, code translation, handling workflows, interpreting charts, and understanding humour.
Additionally, Anthropic introduced "Artifacts," a feature allowing users to interact with generated content within the app.
PocketFM x ElevenLabs
Pocket FM has partnered with voice-cloning company ElevenLabs to convert text content into audio series using AI.
The collaboration aims to triple Pocket FM’s content library, which already includes 100,000 hours of audio.
This move allows writers to produce more content faster and reduces production costs by 90%.
Pocket FM plans to expand this AI tool to all creators soon, integrating it into their workflow to enhance productivity and quality.
Citigroup
Citigroup's new GPS report predicts AI could significantly impact banking jobs, with over half at high risk of automation.
Banking tops the list with 54% of roles potentially automated, followed by insurance (48%) and energy (43%).
Citi expects new roles like AI managers to emerge.
The report estimates AI could add $170 billion, or 9%, to the global banking sector's profit pool by 2028.

Paris-based AI startup Poolside.ai is raising $400 million at a $2 billion valuation to accelerate software development with its generative AI tools.
Bain Capital Ventures and DST are leading the round.
Poolside, co-founded by GitHub’s former CTO Jason Warner and Eiso Kant, aims to speed up developers' work.
The company has raised $126 million previously and plans to expand its capabilities beyond software development.

AI-powered language learning app Speak has raised $20 million in a Series B extension led by Buckley Ventures, with participation from the OpenAI Startup Fund, Khosla Ventures, and others.
Founded in 2014, Speak has grown to over 10 million users across 40 countries.
The app emphasizes verbal practice, charging $20 per month or $99 per year.
The new funding will enhance real-time feedback on tone and pronunciation.
